Another nicely done portrait Antonio. The only thing I would question are the out of focus bokeh that are stuck to your subject's head and collar. They are definitely a distracting element, in my view.

Antonio.. Nice exposure and focus! What is the chain link screen-like affair at his left (camera right shoulder)? What would you think of a closer crop?

I agree with you Manfred but I was afraid to do something wrong and kept it. I will have a try on that. (if I remember)
But the spot bokeh on the left is not a perfect one, as it has an olive shape. Lens to blame ! But those details are only for exquisite photographers like ourselves...
Thank you for your comment Manfred !

Thank you Richards for your comment.

I wouldn't say something went wrong; that is just how your lens performed given the way you framed the shot. I can't say I love the bokeh of your lens; small hard and out of focus light sources are just coming out much to distinct, rather than soft.

Bearing in mind f/1.8 on a full-frame sensor, I'm even wondering if they are actually bokeh? With the apparent brightness of that light source, could they be flare or internal reflections of some kind? It's the sharp edges that prompts my question.

It's a fast 135mm lens, so this as bokeh would not be at all surprising. The areas don't have the characteristics of flare as this would show in front of the subject as well as behind, but we see it blocked by his body. Looks like out of focus light sources to me Ted.

Thanks for the clarification, Manfred. I'm not well up on lens stuff which is why I asked ...

It's in the metadata in the file you uploaded. Luckily the host you are using does not strip out this information.

Manfred uses the same app as me. Exif Viewer is an add-on to the FireFox browser; right-click the mouse and it appears on a drop-down list. You may not have it on your computer ...

If you are using a Mac, you can find the EXIF data associated with a digital image in Applications > Preview > Tools > Show Inspector and then click on the second icon ("More info inspector"). Free and legal.

Indeed Bill. But we have to download the photo.
I think I am not going to do that at all. What interests me is the quality of the final result: the image itself.
    Thank you !
