That's about the going rate for these small drives here in Ottawa. In fact That works out to about $CAD42 and I can get an A-Data 250 GB for just over $CAD36 (taxes in) at my local computer store.
I suspect you are seeing an end-of-line dump of these drives as manufacturers are getting out of these very small SSD drivers. I would personally not go smaller than 500GB for my system drive and probably closer to a 1TB if I were to upgrade.
