    Art imiatating life

Taken a few years ago in an alley off of Spadina Avenue in the heart of the original Chinatown, here in Toronto.
Normally I don't photograph Graffitti as it is someone else's art, and more important, so much of it is badly done, but in this case, I thought the subject matter was so timely and well done that I grabbed this shot.

Hi Robert, I like this. (I am different, I do like photographing street art).
    Only a couple nit picks....
The information above the Indian... part of it is cut off, I'd like to see the entire thing.
I think with street art, for me vibrancy is important. This seems flat and or dark to me.

Otherwise, fun shot and nice capture.

There's an entire district (Winwood) in Miami dedicated to this type of art. Nice shot.

A few years ago? The date in the sign suggests 2009. Is this really a decade old?

    Sharon,
Truthfully, the information on the wall was of no interest to me, and was only included because of the framing problem it would have caused had I tried to eliminate it in-camera. I even thought about cloning it out after I scanned the slide but decided it was not worth the effort. I didn't shoot this as a record of an event, but rather only because I thought the subject matter clever and well portrayed.

Of course not. I guess I should pull out some of my old work and post it from time to time...

Well portrayed and interesting, Robert. I would agree however that it is a bit cut off at both left and right.

    Jim,
    Thanks for commenting.
The tight cropping to the left and right was to eliminate distracting elements that added nothing to the image but simply cluttered the scene.
