In the wind
Am in from the lake to do a few errands and am taking advantage to process a few images from yesterday on the big screen. I really like the 300 mm PF + 1.4 TC combo for shooting wildflowers and so I decided to take it down to the marsh. Conditions were fairly windy, and I missed my focus more often than not, but I got a few keepers. Here is one.
f/5.6 @1/500, 160 ISO
I am going to start using back button focus and see if my success rate improves.

Re: In the wind
I have used BBF almost all of the time for years. IMHO, it’s main advantage is control: the camera focuses when you tell it to—and doesn’t focus when you don’t tell it to.

Re: In the wind
Very nice Janis, and you can add me to the list of those recommending BBF. I use it all the time.
