Helpful Posts: Peluche is an older male poodle cross who is deaf, has only one eye with the other having a serious cataract problem. Peluche also has no teeth left. But, he is a sweetheart!
Our vet eye doctor recommended the removal of Peluche’s blind eye because crystals were forming, he put a silicone prosthesis in so that the Peliuche's eye socket will not become sunken.
At the end of this month, he will have cataract surgery which will restore his vision in the remaining eye.
The costs of all these surgeries are being paid by Hope For Paws Rescue who originally rescued Peluche from the terrible conditions under which he was living.
He is a really nice dog and we are probably going to have him as a permanent resident. Realistically, there will be few adopters who are willing to take on an older male dog with Peluche’s physical problems. However, that is fine with us. We love this old guy and definitely won’t adopt him to anyone but a extra-special adopter.
His collar reads, "I AM DEAF"...
