Re: The Jurassic Cliffs
Wow! I love the orange and brown strata in the rock face. That is one impressive looking cliff!
Are you sure about the white balance / saturation though? The yellows and to a lesser extent the greens seem to dominate the image. I would have guessed that the colours are closer to this:

Re: The Jurassic Cliffs
I like both versions of the image.... I especially like the inclusion of the two people, image right, which, to me gives perspective to the image.
We have beach cliffs (North of San Diego California) somewhat like these and there was a very unfortunate incident a few weeks ago when a portion of the cliff fell down on the beach below killing and injuring some folks who were relaxing on the beach. https://www.meetup.com/pacificphoto/...OWE3NGQ5ZDEyMQ

Re: The Jurassic Cliffs
Definitely not! The colour balance is as I saw the scene - it was late in the day and the sun was approaching sunset. The cliffs were golden.

Re: The Jurassic Cliffs
Having seen the cliffs in the golden evening sun I can understand your comment Graham - the cliffs in your photo are wonderful. If you are satisfied that the image is as you saw the scene then, of course, that is fine. For me, it is enhanced by applying a filter to the sky to increase its contrast and deepen the blues in a graduated but gentle way.
