Sorry, this is not working all that well for me, Arnold.
That bright area at the top of the image just overwhelms the rest of the image. I suspect that it is the source of the veiling flare we see in the image.

An interesting blend of DOF and light, nice effort.
Given your title of the piece, I thought this was the case.
That being said, the issues identified in response #2 are still issues.
The human visual system is keyed to areas of brightness, so the viewer's attention will go there and the veiling flare softens the overall image and the scene and especially the flowers are all washed out. These two issues are quite common with this type of shot, based on the decisions you made in how you framed the shot.
I think it does have an overall nice dreamy affect.
I would agree, but one important way that we learn is by making mistakes and finding ways to avoid them the next time. Higher end lenses have more sophisticated lens coatings that reduce flare. If you are shooting with a clear or UV filter, these contribute to the issue as well.
Some of this can be reduced, but not eliminated, in post-production by increasing contrast and micro-contrast.
Keep on experimenting!
