Lovely color and light --
I would like to see a less defined background and cropped a lot tighter. I am not sure that much lead out works well for this image. I took the liberty to explore a different crop and while it might not suit your compositional tastes, I found the square format to be interestingly "different." I did do some minor dodging on the lighter metal parts of the bike to helpt it emerge more strongly from the foliage. The color impact is negligible on the overall look and feel.
Beaitiful light. However, I believe you have exposed for the backgroung and that is why the bike is
underexposed. Nevertheless, an interesting picture.
Thanks for the comments ladies and gentleman.
Good shot subject, but I think it works better in BW. The colour is very distracting from the bike, which has a lot less colour. Also, there is a lot of contrast in the shot, which I think lends itself more to B&W. Don't think that bike would last very long on the technical mountain-bike trails where I live.
I used Silver Efex (as we were just talking about it in another thread)
Very nice idea here, Rob. Thanks!
