    Roast Ox...

Apparently this is a German dish. I was shooting at the German American Societies of San Diego Oktoberfest Celebration today and the organization gave us lunch.

Since the lunch was free and in 79 years of life, I have never eaten roast ox, I opted for that as my entree. I am always game to try something new

    Roast Ox...

However, if I live another 79 years more, I will never try that meat again. It was overcooked, tough and tasteless. However, I must be the only person around me who thought that. People were gorging themselves on the tremendous portions of Ox meat being served

HINT: Texas barbecue beef is a heck of a lot better in my estimation

Well its quite obvious what the problem was, they used chain instead of spices, nicely seen and captured.

Does not look too appealing with spikes and chains !

When we were in Yellowstone 10 years ago we were surprised to see buffalo on the menu at a lodge but were assured it was farmed outside the park.

    It did taste delicious.
