Week 47: Grow Where You Land--Joshua Tree National Park--

I think this would look even better in a vertical frame including the two shrubs within
Week 46, I too am attracted to odd looking vegetation, nicely seen and captured, with this type of texture and tones I will sometimes play with flash and intentionally underexpose.
Week 47, nicely seen and captured.
An interesting image. However, if the point is partly the textures and lines, why not bring them out? To illustrate, I did a few quick and dirty edits:
1. I increased contrast
2. I increased texture
3. I increased clarity
4. To balance it a bit, I darkened the top right corner.
A pretty sloppy edit, and one of the first three may be overdone, but I think it shows what I was thinking about.
Week 48--Redwood Forest Floor

Week 48, very alien looking growth, might exploit with some high structure black and white treatment.
This is a beautiful scene and you have caught a very effective time of light. I would like to see the orientation set so the shoreline is horizontal. It's not enough for a Dutch tilt and I'm not sure it would benefit from that. Is that mist in the area behind the highpoint?
Nice image of this wild umbrella
Week 49: The Watcher---almost caught back up with my weekly photo.!

Week 49, nice effort, I would make that background go completely black.
