    Very nice. I like how you have left the shadows behind the gourds deeper, as it really creates a nice background and brings out the subject

    I was glad the display was mounted on black wooden shelving rather than natural wood.

    A nice, seasonal shot David. It reminds me to get out and capture some of the pumpkins, squash and gourds on sale in many places at this time of year...

    The one thing I might do if it were my shot would be to clone out or heal those bright specular highlights on the edge of the support for the shelves. My eyes seem to go directly there in this image.

    Thank you for your comment and illustration, Manfred.

    I did wonder about these and should have tested this on a seperate layer to check the effect.

    I had burned the gourds in the lower right hand corner and the greys above them beyond the shelf support. I also cloned out some bright areas in the upper right corner and burned some bright areas running below and parallel to the top shelf.

    I should have finished the job off properly, so I will go away now and do that.
