That looks like the interior of an Indian Railways sleeper car (my guess is first or second class), given the relative space and privacy of the compartment. Too back that there is no separation of the top bed and the man's head in the shot. It almost looks like his head is being squeezed in a vice...

Indeed, between the two beds the distance is minimal. It doesn't bother me the place/local he is standing.
It shows how tight is the area.
He asked the guide if he should allow me to photograph him. Strange... at least for me.
Then I went after him to make this and other similar shots. He was using this compartment to arrange the linen and the covers.
I remember - this was 10 year ago - that I was holding the camera on my right hand with a little difficulty as it was too heavy (Canon whatever) and the flash on the other.
I still have 2 or 3 made on location.
