Congratulations on having a good looking rose in bloom on Christmas Day and on getting a good photo of it! Our last rose buds became waterlogged and never properly opened. The merge of two focus points worked well.

Thanks for the comments.
Week 52 - Dartmoor Pony. Plenty of dismally grey weather has left me struggling to find a subject for the last image but I was at one of the reserves where I regularly record wildlife and thought I would have a try with this scene even though the conditions were far from ideal.
7D with Tamron 24-70 lens. 1/100 F8 Iso 800. Merge of three conversions from a single Raw file.

Nice effort, I like the textures brought forth in the edit.

Thanks. It was the variation in textures and subtle colour tints which initially caught my eye. It was a rather dull light but shooting across the light instead of having it behind me seemed to help with creating a bit more in the way of contrast.
