Thank you, I will try this! My images of the graph-film with 1 mm squares are large, 6-8 MB. Hopefully CIC will accept and adjust the images sent.

Hopefully so but many people re-size their images smaller to post here. For example, our Moderator recommends 2000px on the long side, about 2 to 3 MP. The file size in MB is less important but I usually post a JPEG with max chroma sub-sampling (4:2:0) and with minimum compression. Good enough for most people's screens, IMHO.
Accessed my rarely used Dropbox in my iMac, but Dropbox has now changed to an app-interface without any url as far I can see. I managed to drag the actual pics to a folder in the app, but what will be the next steps to upload them to CIC?
Yes, DropBox did change recently and as a result, I allowed my subscription to lapse.
But you are still talking about moving files around - "dragging to a folder", "uploading to CiC". Please stop thinking like that. I am talking about leaving a file in place, on-line outside of CiC and not on your computer, and typing a link to that file in a post here.
If DropBox won't give you a URL, find somewhere that does and put your picture there. I use my own website for that, meaning that others here will probably have better ideas than me about good places to "host" your pictures - i.e. places that will let you access a URL so that the public can see your image.
Here is the URL of a test picture on my website:
Feel free to play with it. In FireFox you can right-click on a picture and select "Copy Link Location" ... and that puts the URL into your clipboard which you can then paste between the img and /img codes (with their square brackets) and your picture will become visible in CiC ...Code:http://kronometric.org/phot/post/CiC/SD14fs+BG38.jpg
... hopefully ;)
