This is not working for me I am afraid. The sunset and reflection are fine enough, but the subject at bottom is not working. The shoreline cut; the blue blanket and the exposure on the subject are all failing to work together.

I think you would have done better to take a lower stance so the head and shoulders were above the shore line, lose the blanket and have the person in silhouette.

Jim - I think Peter is onto something here.

My first impression is that you are too high up when compared to the person sitting there for this image to work. In feature films and television we often see a technique called an "over the shoulder" shot that effectively tries to give the viewer an impression of what the actor is seeing.

In this shot, the connection between the view, the person on the blanket and the viewer don't seem to connect.
