My Town's First Veterans Day Parade

It wasn't much of a parade as parades go but, there was a lot of grass roots enthusiasm. It was quite emotional for me. I was wearing my Combat Veteran ball cap and an entire contingent of marchers broke ranks and came up to me thanking me for my service.

There was a member of our "Greatest Generation" riding in the parade, he was a World War Two Veteran who was celebrating his 100th birthday that day!

Veterans would meet each other with "Welcome Home Brother"

Nice series, were the women in the third image representing debutantes, widows, or something else?

Much like DeMolay- for the sons of Masons. Were they also in the parade?
