Very nice, Richard. A reminder that the moon does not have to fill the frame to see its features.
I like the gentle waves of clouds which contribute to the overall image.

Thanks David... This was shot in the early morning before the sun was fully illuminating the tree. I was undecided about the branches intruding into image right. My choice was to: brighten the branches, eliminate them entirely or just leave them as they were. I decided to leave them alone...

Richard - the image is so delicate that I find that the frame overpowers it. Perhaps a bit more mid-tone contrast to reduce the general muddiness of the blacks?

love it. edit works well... as it focuses attention on the moon more so (for me at least).
I like IR work. It's fun and can bring a unique aspect to a photo... which you have done here... as a moon is a moon is a moon.

I also enjoy IR work. I originally converted a very old Canon D60 (not the 60D) DSLR to full-time IR but did not carry it often because it was heavy and because, although it was an APSC format camera, it did not accept EFS lenses.
Since I switched entirely to Sony, I picked up a small form factor and relatively inexpensive Sony NEX-7 body and had that converted to full-time IR. The small form factor as well as its capability to use any of my e-mount Sony lenses will, I expect, enable me to use this camera more often than I used the Canon. After all the little body weighs only a fraction over 14 ounces and I can keep it in my photo vest or camera bag with no great problems - it can also use all of my e-mount lenses as well as my adapted Legacy lenses.
I am looking forward to a day with great white clouds to shoot some seascapes with the IR converted NE-7...
