The heron flew up behind me with a chick in his beak, landed and started eating.
Sorry, the first shot's fuzzy.












I didn't know that heron was carnivore.
Taken in Ornithological park of the Pont de Gau in Camargue, south of France

Poor chicken. It's life.
Humans are worst than herons as they kill each other, over the centuries.
It was a nice exercise to capture the sequence.
