First is very dreamy and I like it. The second is quite cold though.

The second could use a little adjusting, thank you for that input.

The first image is the stronger of the two. If it were my image, I would look at cropping some of the top off. That would do two things for you. It would both eliminate that dark, distracting area at the top left and an area of the image that is not really adding anything to the overall composition.

The second image is tough. There is nothing sharply focused in it at all, so that just isn't working for me. We generally need something for our eyes to anchor on and draw us into the image.

Did you deliberately add a strong orange color cast to the first one? In Photoshop, I had to add a very strong correction on two axes, -70 on the cyan-red and +50 on the yellow-blue, to get it looking more or less neutral. Usually, an incorrect WB in camera would affect primarily the yellow-blue axis, not the cyan-red.

These images look like they might have been shot using a Legacy lens of some type...

Yes Dan, this was worked on as a series of fall flowers for a client. They choose the first one and not the second. This PP was done with intent, the original I will convert to JPEG and post , that is neutral or close to real capture of the subject.
