Soprava uma brisa fria, sob as nuvens baixas, e o gato movia o corpo lentamente como se tivesse parado o mecanismo do universo. Sobre o muro a luz fazia jogos de sombras, e eu a contemplar toda aquela coreografia, meio aturdido, até que me lembrei de fotografar. Seguidamente, o gato desapareceu, como se fosse uma mera sombra que se interpusera entre mim e o céu.


A cold breeze was blowing under the low clouds, and the cat moved slowly as if it had stopped the mechanism of the universe. Over the wall the light played shadows, and I contemplated all that choreography, a little dazed, until I remembered to photograph. Then the cat disappeared, as if it were a mere shadow that had come between me and the sky.

I agree with others that this is good. To me, the work consists of the image plus the words; either by itself would be incomplete.

If I keep on looking at Fernando's posts, I will start to understand Portugese.
