Changing direction and size with the Clone Tool

After two years, I was sure that I knew the basics of Affinity Photo, which I use and love. However, yesterday, I only just discovered that I can choose the first part of the area I want to clone and not only, change the direction, but also resize it, using just the arrow keys. This afternoon I was talking to my mentor in photography, who uses Photoshop. I told him of my experience and he pondered on whether Photoshop can do this? I have googled and ......... it seems not. Is this correct please?

In Photoshop using the clone tool the "square brackets" keys increase/decrease the size of your sample area circle. If you want to actually "resize" the pixels you are sampling you can do that through the "clone source" dialogue box.

Not sure what you mean by change direction?

Jim - that functionality has existed with the Photoshop Clone Tool for as long as I can remember, but is hidden in the tool bar.

I'm showing where it is located and the fly-out window that is associated with this functionality. Unfortunately I did not notice I had hit the reset button before I did the screen capture, but I changed the size of the item cloned to 50% in one example and rotated in 90 degrees in another.
