Amazing Hyperlaspse of Photos of New York

OK.. so the artist took hundreds of photo's available of the common sites from New York and turned them into an amazing time lapse video.

WARNING - and this is NO JOKE
If you suffer from the effects of high-frequency flashes (especially those who are epileptic) do NOT view this video!!!! See also the disclaimer on the website: For me, the interesting part is the time and effort taken to align each photo precisely to get a smooth transition between images, and thus create the effect of a video.

    Otherwise hold onto your seat...

Very cool, I procrastinated over the selections in an 890 page booklet so I can imagine the effort in putting this together. Thanks for sharing.

It irritated me. I recognise the skill an effort required to put it all together but felt with the same time and effort he could have achieved something much more worthwhile to view.

+1 to what Paul and Barry have said.

Just because it could be done, doesn't mean the outcome is particularly interesting. Many experiments fail and I would put this piece of work into that category.

    I tend to agree!

Actually I have sympathy with the popular reaction. I WAS impressed by the precision required to get the images (particularly of the taxi sequence) to flow - which is why I considered it for a post, but I could watch it only once. God help anyone who suffers from epilepsy...

Add me to the popular reaction. A tremendous amount of work, but to what purpose?

That is more my position. I wasn't extolling the overall artistic merit of the work but admiring the precision and effort that went into it. As I said I could look at it only once!
