    After Fabien storm

    I showed you some pictures of the former storm which was more a wind storm than the last one Fabien which produce huge and powerfull waves.

    Spectacular captures!

    I would consider getting rid of some of the frame that doesn't really contribute and do a little processing to bring out the drama of the waves more. There are lots of ways you could do this. For example, I cropped the first one and then added both midtone contrast (a curve) and some local contrast (unsharp mask, amount about 30, radius 5). I did the adjustments with a luminosity blend mode to avoid increasing the saturation of the blue more. That produced this:

    While I can see what Dan is trying to do, I find having the people in the shot is important as it gives the viewer a sense of scale. That is one huge wave!

    I agree. The problem for me was that I couldn't easily include the pole, which would be distracting on the edge.
