Hi Bootsy,

I think I prefer #1, for the subtle, frosty colours and composition.

Is it a side effect of the downsizing, or is the focus a bit off in #2?
The stand itself, a major part of the image with the crop you've applied (?), looks rather soft to me.
Further on #2, being ultra critical (but with constructive intent), I think I'd have cloned out the roof and building at right hand edge of frame AND the grey pole that isn't part of the bandstand.

Being similarly super critical with #1; well almost nothing, I might have healed away the largest, darkest clump in the grass centre left, as it pulls the eye down, but other than that, nothing.

I like the composition on both, well done.

Hi Bootsy - I'm with Rustyshutter in my preference for No. 1: empty bench, empty bandstand, empty park, winter - a mood shot that makes me feel cold and contemplative.

I think the first shot has a good balance between the rather solid but relatively small bench on the left and the more intricate latticed but more dominating bandstand on the right. If I was to lose anything here, it would be the odd twig showing above the bandstand roof and the lights in the distance. The green and brown colours also seem to compliment well. A good composition.

The second shot as has already been pointed out, suffers from the too close crop that has occurred on the right of the roof.
