    Where should I go?

Yes, not great with the shadows, but it is winter in WA State, lucky for a bit of light even.

That's your shadow, to eliminate just remember the unwritten and not meant to always be followed rule, get down to their eye level when photographing. Nice shot.

Thank John. I was pretty close to the ground, but it was so muddy I chose to not do the right thing and sit. Plus when I do sit, I get mauled by a gang of puppies ;-)

I love this shot... Sure, it could have been shot from a lower lever and it could have your shadow eliminated but, the shot portrays the pup wonderfully!
BTW: I have found that the articulating LCD helps me get the camera at a lower level without becoming a contortionist

Sharon, how big is your gang of puppies? I saw the other thread with three puppies front and centre and fourth dog (puppy?) in the background.

    Hi Bruce,
Our beautiful girl had five pups (the sixth one was stillborn after a long delay).
They are usually out in the yard with us and the momma and dad.

Not for long periods, we are cold right now!! I wonder if you are getting snow too?

Thanks Richard. There are definitely rolly polly cute.
I unfortunately don't have the articulating LCD. I should suck it up and just get on the ground and hope for the best.

Yes, the temperature began dropping late afternoon and snow will probably start over night. At least we're not in Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan with forecast windchills well up in the minus 40's.

Five puppies! This sounds like a full time occupation!
