Re: Nature's abstract art
Look like Crust Fungi developing on rotting wood.
Crust is a generic term describing their growing habits, Specific genus can often present(grow) as bracht forms as well as crust form.
These images do not really work for me, I would have framed a much smaller area of each image concentrating on bringing out the finer detail of the fungus, elimimating much of the out of focus areas.

Re: Nature's abstract art
Apparently I failed to draw your attention to the area of focus, leading you to the details in focus. I believe that by encompassing the surrounding it would further enhance the beauty of natures configuration. Thanks for the input.

Re: Nature's abstract art
I hear you James , if that was my intent, I saw it as not only as a fungus yet a part of a larger whole.Thank you for the input.

Re: Nature's abstract art
I like the the first image, but not so sure about its monochrome version; in the first image, a crop would work even better i feel-probably as meant by Astro(James)
I liked the colours of image 3 also; but it has an overall disturbing brilliance....

Re: Nature's abstract art
I like the color version as well, viewed as an abstract its what the imagination gathers from what's presented, the third image is a bit too recognizable, the first appears to me as a swarm.

I have taken another look at cropping the images as suggested, will post them shortly. Love to keep on learning !!!
