Meat Ball Food Supplement For Dogs

This is a high caloric and high protein food supplement that we give to severely underweight dogs. We use these balls in addition to the dogs regular food allotment and will include three to four meatballs with each meal and also give one or two balls as a between the meal snack. These meatballs are easy on the dogs mouth digestive system and will really put weight on malnourished dogs...

The amounts of meat, peanut butter and oats are not critical. We usually combine equal amounts of the freeze dried meat and oats with enough peanut butter to bind them together. Freeze dried meat such as Stella and Chewy's is available at most specialty pet stores but, not usually in supermarkets. Any brand freeze dried meat would work...

The size of these meatballs are aimed at our small breeds. Obviously larger breeds would need larger size meatballs...

BTW: The dogs love these meatballs and they seem to stimulate the dogs' appetite also...

I shot this to include in our instructions for care of foster dogs that we provide to our foster parents...

I once had a Doberman Pinscher that liked Cheese Whiz on his treats.

I worry about you, Richard, such a fixation. There must be a therapy available

Richard, here at home we think that processed food is not an option neither for humans nor for animals.
Even that food which is very appetising or precisely that one.

A friend of ours had two German Sherpards in a row and both died of liver problems. The third animal, a young male is fed with home cooked food made of vegetables, rice, oil and some meat, some kind of soup.
He is healthy so far. The future will tell if this is a good option.
