    Lined Up To Eat

Alexis' puppies at 20-days old. She is no longer trying to defend her pups against the intrusion of the camera so it is easier to get a shot...

    Lined Up To Eat

The puppies are growing by leaps and bounds. They have voracious appetites and are now starting to move around the pen with their eyes open. It is enjoyable to see how they change from day to day as they are maturing...

We are prepared for an early weaning because of their sizes in comparison to Alexis...

nice shot. Dang, they look as big as the lab puppies did!!! LOL.
Wonder what they are mixed with?

She'll be ready for them to start laying off the milk, those puppy teeth are sharp and should be coming in.

We have no idea what the puppies are mixed with. Alexis, herself is a mix also.

    Inconvenient Age

The puppies are just learning to wander round the pen now. Their legs are still a little wobbly and they haven't exactly mastered the theory and practice of locomotion. This requires frequent monitoring so we can rescue a pup from an inconvenient place like, for instance, under one of the beds.

Judy and I were scheduled for a trip to Los Angeles tomorrow and have tickets for the grandstand of the Chinese New Year Parade. However, the mom and her pups can't be left alone for the seven or eight hours it would take to make the trip.

If they were younger and were not moving around it would be O.K. since mom would be taking care of them and they would be safe in their plush bed. If they were older, they would be safe to wander around the pen with their mom.

However at this age, Judy has decided that she will stay home to monitor the puppies and I will make the trip with the group I am going with... I "THINK" that Judy is not totally unhappy about this decision. She is working hard to get the photo book ready for our daughter's 50th birthday!

I have loaded NIK Software on her computer and she is really excited about using it.
