For the last few days we have been dog sitting for a friend. Today, thinking of Richard, I took a photo of Hector. Hope you like it, though not up to your standard!

Jim - thanks for thinking of me. This is a nice shot of a very cute dog. I think just brightening the image up a bit might transform it. White dogs like snow scenes often need some + exposure to maintain the white. However, after brightening the image, I did a bit of burning on the dogs nose to return it to its original dark color...

I used the shadow slider of NIK Viveza after placing a large control point on the dogs coat and then used Photoshop's IMAGE > Adjustments > increased contrast slider.

Thanks for the feedback, Richard. I do have Nik Viveza (though the only thing on Nik that I use these days is Nik Silver Efex, which I love). May give it a go. I have Affinity Photo however, instead of Photoshop. However, I hope to have a try using your pointers. Cheers!
