    Free Range Eggs

We have a total of eight hens who generally produce about a half dozen eggs per day.

    Free Range Eggs

Our hens are all free ranging within a fenced area and are of different breeds. They produce eggs of various sizes and colorings.

However, the eggs are all delicious...

I like the different shapes and sizes, Richard, but wonder if the plastic egg crate is messing up the messaging a bit.

Something a bit more "organic" looking might look more interesting for this subject.

Get rid of the crate and place them on a natural background, you are not changing the core of the subject but removing a distraction (the crate).Pretty neat the variations. Even a wicker egg basket would be nicer.

Nicely exposed, the out of focus nutritional information is a bit distracting and makes it seem like you are trying to hide something.

Nice eggs, but I agree that the plastic crate is a bit distracting and contrasts with the "home grown" message.

Un oeuf is as good as a feast.

    Should it be "per week"?
I think I got it. It is six eggs from all of them every day.

We used to collect our eggs in a wicker basket when we had chickens. We would even have a bit of straw in the basket to cushion the eggs. Maybe something like that would be more pleasing than the plastic carton.

I am getting fond of the hens also. Since my wife has recently had surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (luckily the surgery was a success), I have been feeding the chickens. Now when I go down to the chicken area, they all gather around me for food and treats.

And no - we do not ever plan to eat any of them.

I have been intending to shoot some recent images of the girls but, have been too lazy...

Here is an older image of them with one of their favorite treats, watermelon. They will clear off the fruit right down to the rind.

They are also very fond of grapes and will eat them from our hands...
