Nice Idea, but ...
... the 10MB file size is too big for my slow 75Kb/sec internet connection and the 4096x3084px images are too big for my 2K screen. Sorry.

Re: Nice Idea, but ...
I like the acorn series. Particularly the first and last image.

Re: Nice Idea, but ...
Raymond - great concept, but a combination of technical and framing issues result in the images being less effective than they could be. The last one is the best, in my view.
I find that B&W is not an effective approach for this subject; the colour is such an important feature of the subject, I find the coloured ones are draw my attention.
The background is causing you some issues as well; the human visual system is draw to areas of brightness and high contrast, so the reflections off the water (?), while interesting, overwhelm the acorns. I also find a focus issue, the screening is in sharp focus, but the shallow depth of field you are shooting at results in the subject being soft. A still life like this generally needs to be shot with a very wide depth of field.
A bit of cropping and burning down the hot spots and a tighter crop might help too.
