    A field of a new crop (actually a crop of the field!) in a valley in the Chiltern Hills. Any comments welcome.

    I like it. A classic picture containing themes of lines and simple colour.

    I wonder if removing the two outer lines might make for a stronger image ?

    Well seen and cropped, I can’t choose between the original and Peter’s edit to remove the outer lines.
    A very simple but rewarding image, I like it.

    A very nice minimalist image.

    What about B&W? It's the lines that matter most. If you boost the local contrast and midtone contrast, you get something like this:
