Ole - You really have this love of the backs of subjects; whether it be people or animals. Sorry, having the rear end of three sheep staring me in the face really does nothing for me and from what I have seen, most other people have a similar view.
You did have a strong image there; two of the animals are looking right at you. Had you concentrated on them, you could have gotten an image that works a lot better. Faces, especially the eyes, is where you get viewers to connect with your subject, regardless if you are shooting people or animals.

After the cropping you have a meaningful subject that is well captured, the choice of blk/wht is nice to emphasize the fine details.

Once you've taken the shot, all we can do is suggest crops.

If you want the rear ends to dominate, all is fine. if you want the faces to dominate, you have a problem, and cropping is only a partial fix because if you remove some of the rear ends, you lose one of the two interesting faces.
That aside, I would up the contrast, even though you have a good tonal range.
