Friends,
I'm James, just recently joined the community. I'm physically located in Bangkok, Thailand. I found that this site is very useful. Currently, I have CANON 500D with 18-200. My goal is to improve my photo shooting technique. I wish, I can get something, learning by doing from here.
Thanks.
Cheers,
James

My name is Jim, from Brisbane in the state of Queensland in Australia. I have been a Flickr flogger for at least three years, and enjoy that, and I came across this site searching for information. This is different for me compared to Flickr, as it seems to be more discussion based, but as I normally have a lot to say, I may fit in well.
All I need to do now is figure out how it all works.
regards Jim
Hi Jim
Welcome to CiC. Good to have you aboard. You are quite right, we have a good level of disussion here, as well as producing some cracking images. If you need any immediate help just look at the FAQ on the menu bar, or if you can't find what you need post a new question in the relevant thread section.
Hi, I'm Ailsa, I just joined today. I've been keen on photography for some time having worked in various art galleries over the years and seeing what some people can produce. I'm just trying to get back into it again after some time and found this forum really, really helpful. Also the tutorials are great!! I live in Dubai at the moment and cannot find a really good photography course for intermediates.
I have a small website that friends, family and fellow photographers can look at so feel free to critique, I would absolutely love to hear how I can improve. I have a canon 10D but my lovely husband just bought me a 5D mark ll so desperate to improve my techniques!
Thanks!
Hello my name is Andrew and i just found this site today. I have been into photography as a hobby for a couple years now but recently have been getting way more intense about it. I know I have a lot to learn still so i figure surround myself with tons of other photographers is a good start.
Hi
I'm Mike and have just discovered this Forum, having missed it the last time I visited Cambridge in Colour.
I work in the entertainment industry and have been interested in photography since I was a lad (many years ago). My enthusiasm has been fired again with the advent of the digital world, and I now have some ageing but nevertheless excellent Nikon gear. I use Lightroom and CS4 for my processing.
I look forward to playing an active part in this community.
Hi there Clactonian. Welcome to CiC, and I hope you find the experience very useful and rewarding. You might want to put your first name in your profile so it appears under your screen name. Just post any questions you have, contribute to existing threads, or post some shots!
Hi Dave and Colin.
Thanks for the welcome and offer of assistance.
Yes, I have both of Joe's books - still going through The Hotshoe Diaries and then to start The Moment it Clicks.

Hello Member,
I am Stephen. I was looking for some photography sites and found this site. It is really interesting and the photographs were amazing. I am nobody when it comes to photography, but I really wanted to learn some techniques. So I joined this forums. I own a Sony Cybershot T90 camera and just playing with it.

Hi everyone,
I am quite a beginner at digital photography. I am completing a basic diploma on the internet and have booked a Photographing London course for the Autumn. I am learning how to use my canon 500D and CS4. The Cambridge tutorials are superb in clarity and information, and I often come back to these. I am joining the forums mainly to ask questions in the first place, but I will be delighted if I can come to contribute in the future.
Regards, Alan
Hi everyone.
I am Savyasachi.
You can call me 'Savvy' (in short), as my friends call me.
I have canon 1000D with 18-55 lens.
Wish to learn and share more from all the froends here.
Regards,
Savvy
Hi Folks!
Just joined up after a friend passed me a link.
A little about me...
After more than 30 years of being a keen amateur photographer, the last couple of years have seen me become passionate about photography, become active in a photographic club, and become a freelance photographer, learning a great deal working with other photographers, both pro and semi-pro. I have a couple of specific photographic goals in mind in the not too distant future: one is pursuing distinctions such as LRPS, and the other is involvement with remembrance photography, providing images which may comfort parents who have suffered the loss of their baby, having been through this myself. (See www.nilmdts.org)
Last year I did a 365 blog which was challenging but never dull, and I miss it so much, I hope to do another maybe next year. See http://not2early365.blogspot.com/ where there is a link to a weekly blog, and also some images on flickr.
I'm a Canon user, but I have friends who shoot with Nikon ;0)
