Hi, everyone. My name is Eamonn, im a student in my first year of college. I go into photography a few years ago, i shoot mainly with an old olympus OM-2 35mm, typically black and white, but i do some color. i reciently got a canon SX20is ditigal and i really enjoy that. I like to photograph almost any subject, but particularly night and weather.
well, Im still new to this and i have a lot to learn so any tips would be appreciated. hope to meet most of you soon.

Thanks for your kind words of welcome to the CIC forums. In answer to your question as to what I`m shooting and processing with they are as follows: Nikon D2Xs with 17-35,28-70,70-200,105Micro lenses and currently using PS4 for my post processing.

I'm just back from your part of the world, having been at the National Media Museum in Bradford over the weekend to see the Land Revisited exhibition.

A very warm welcome to CiC. Maybe sopmeof the othjer folks who live about your area might be able to suggest suitable courses. But I would also suggest that the tutorials on here and the focus on learning in this forum, in which everyone is happy to share knowledge, experience and skills is as good a resource as many courses that you might attend.

So, please do feel able to be part of the community of learning.

Hi! I'm Apurb from India. An architect by profession. Persuing photography as a hobby. I usually can take out time at least once a month to go out with my cam. I own a canon EOS 1000D. Planning to buy an IS telescopic lens to extend my hobby further.
I believe in minimalism of design, thought, composition which are inherent in my building designs. I would like to click frames with minimal elements but very expressive. "LESS IS MORE". Interested in landscapes.

Hi everybody, I am Asish and a medical doctor with almost "0"experience in photography but definitely a real admirer of great photos (to me any photo that gives me a feeling of calmness in my heart is a great one). I dont have any technical knowledge. Very recently, I purchased a Canon 60D (after one month of discussion with many photograpers) with 18-200 mm Lens plus minimum accessories and now taking pictures of almost everything with different settings. Most of the captures were/ are terrible. I am here to learn and to be criticised (not now perhaps after a couple of months when I start posting). Looking for assistance and support. Thank you all.

Wonderful to have you join CiC. I don't think there are any active members from Bangladesh currently - you are the first. So a special welcome.

I hope that you do find this forum a helpful place. The focus of CiC is very much on learning and, as well as the tutorials that are excellent, this forum is populated by people with immense knowledge and experience who are happy and willing to share that. So, although you may not wish to post images, I would urge you to so in the context of wishing to ask questions.

If you have a questions about the quality of your images, please do feel able to post it into a message along with your questions about it. Please also ask any technical questions about photography that you may have.

Are you shooting in RAW or JPEG? Everyone on here would, I think, urge you to shoot all your images in RAW, so that you can then post-process them on computer. With the 60D you will have received Canon's own DPP software for post-processing. Do you have any other post-processing software at this time?

Hello, I am Al from the Philippines. I am an amateur photo hobbyist and I want to learn more about photography. I take photos of things which makes me smile at a glance and I always do it from the heart. I think that's about it, sometimes it's not with the camera but with the chemistry of the subject and the one holding the camera. If you know what I mean. Thank you for accommodating me and I know I would learn a lot from all of you. By the way, I am using Nikon D40X, which I've been using for the past 3 years.

I am John from India and I joined CIC today. I began photographing some fifty years ago with B&W film negatives and over the years moved on to colour slides and then colour negatives to digital recently. I have had several cameras all these years with a bagful of lenses ,filters and other accessories all of which had to be scrapped every now and then after the advent of the digital age. I started with the Canon digital products and after trying our several models stuck to Canon S50 for some time and am now planning to go for a DSLR.

It is with this in mind that I began to read your tutorials and found it very interesting and informative. I am basically an amateur photographer and my interest is mostly depicting local cultural of the places I have lived and travel to.
