Hi Kathy
The shot looks alright. It looks like you have got the right camera.
I am trying to figure out if you were on top the tree or just leaning against it.

Welcome to CiC. If you go to Edit profile, you can put your proper name under 'Real Name' and then we'll all know who we're talking to. You'll have already seen that we tend to go with proper names on here - it's that sort of site.
Great to have you on board and please feel able to post up your images for comment and/or ask lots of photography related questions.
My name is Robert W. Schaefer Jr., and I live in Chicago, Il. USA. I've been interested in photography most of my life, but only took it up as a serious hobby with the advent of digital photography.
I shoot only when I have a fairly good idea of the type of image I want to create, and the environment presents itself. I print my photos and a number of them are hanging in homes and offices; I don't charge wanting to preserve my amateur status.
All comments are welcome.
Thank you Donald
I will . Have a good day
All right, here I am. Today I decided to jump any obstacle and became a capturer of color. I recently bought a nikon D3100 to learn Digital photography. Guys I have a lot to catch up, I''ll promise do my best and forget the rest to shoot nice pics, but if anybody can help improving I'll so glad to heard their critics. I speak spanish as well.
Thanks in advance
P.D: Below an amateur pictures though; I love sunset and sunrises....
Good for you ... and welcome to CiC.
You don't tell us your name or where in the world you are. You can edit your profile and insert both pieces of detail so that they will appear in the side bar with all your posts.
CiC is certainly a forum that will help you develop your knowledge and skills and others here will be happy to help you with that.

Hello and welcome to the CiC forums. I am glad that your study bof the tutorials led to you to sign-up as a member. I think that you will find that the helpful advice, guidance and comments that members post on here in response to questions, are a good complement to the excellent tutorials.
I hope we seen some of your work being posted onto the site.
Hello,
New to this site. I stumble upon it by accident. I am enjoying looking at all of the pictures. I guess my photography often imitates others. I like to look at shots to get ideas for my own photography. Hopefully soon I will be posting my own shots.

Hi there, I'm Chrissy and stumbled upon this site long before I was using an SLR - I loved looking at the photographs but never dreamed I'd be using Canon 1D's for sports photography!! I'm now venturing into other areas, but this whole photography subject is endless and there are times when my ever-patient other half can't answer my queries....
This site is brilliant and I'm looking forward to spending some time searching for tips and will enjoy being part of this community!
See you soon.
Chrissy

Hey everyone. I am Matt from Connecticut, USA. Picked up a lightly used Nikon D60 and started reading the tutorials which led me to the forum. After a few years of using a DSLR at work to take pictures of furniture(which is so much more boring than it sounds), I bought my own so I can enjoy taking pictures by shooting what I want to.
