Well, it would seem you are in good company...I do beleive there are a number of Welsh members on here, and of course, a litany of others from every reach of the globe, each with the same passion of making quality photographs. If it is learning you seek, this is the best little red schoolhouse in the world.

Hi

My name is Terje and I am a 40 yrs++ Norwegian living at the west coast. I have been photographing for about 3 years. I mostly enjoy taking picture of people but the occasional landscape picture may pop up in my stream. Currently I am working to improve my off-camera flash skills. Found several of the tutorials here to be quite informative and also enjoy the tone of the participants in the threads. Intend to stick around and see if this is a place to stay and get and give good feedback.

I recently got my niece to model for me while testing out my flashes and wireless triggers.

Hi everyone! My name is Bojana and I recently decided to join this site because I finally found myself in a situation that I have a fairly good camera ... But, unfortunately, very little knowledge about photography. Yes, I'm practically an amateur :/. The main principle and purpose of CiC is learning - helping others to learn and extending our own knowledge and skills. It is a place to discuss all aspects of photography and to ask questions. So please do join in those discussions and ask questions. People on here are always very willing and able to help.

I hope that as well as learning from your participation in the site, you will also be willing to share your knowledge. There are always questions and issues coming up about shooting weddings, to which the reply of most of us is - Don't touch it unless you really, really know what you're doing.

hello. Just stumbled here. Am a complete hack with an entry-level dslr. Love to learn but scramble numbers, so photography is truly a challenge. More an intuitive athletic feat than a technical mastery... ;-)

Stumbling's as good a way as any other to find your way to CiC. Welcome, I'm glad you found us, sitting here quietly in our little corner of cyberspace.

What you will find here are mature, sensible (and sometimes very silly) discussions, by people who care about photogrpahy and care about helping others enjoy and get as much as the want from photography.

Hi my name is Chris Snyder. I am an avid wildlife photographer when I get the chance. I do enjoy landscape and pet photography as well. Often, I try to combine the two. My wife and I are involved with pet rescue here in the mountains of western North Carolina. We both are mountain bike enthusiast and love to travel combining both biking and now photography. I also do real estate photography and video.

My undergraduate degree is in Marine Biology. The closest I have been able to work with marine mammals is as a swim coach :). I have worked as a competitive coach for more than 20 years.
