My name is Richard. I am retired and live on the shore of Lake Munmorah on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
I am still coming to grips with my new Fuji HS10 (cant afford a DSLR yet). I haven't decided what my photographic theme interests are . I think I might be one of those photographers forever seeking "that shot"!

The fun is in enjoying the challenge, Richard. And the thing, when you've just got a new camera, is to photograph everything and anything. Then, without conscious effort, you'll probably find yourself developing an interest in one or two subject areas.

I'm glad that you've found CiC to be a helpful site. That certainly is the aim. Thanks for joining.

Greetings, Am a young 87 year old retired Marine. Still VERY active and have been involved in photography since 1936.

Still have my first serious camera, a Speed Graphic, 3 1/4 by 4 1/4. Am now shooting with a Nikon D-90 and have a P-100 for a
back-up. Just purchased a P-7000 which I don't use very much.

Worked for a while (5 years) for a Newspaper in Northern Michigan as a Photo Journalist. Didn't care for that at all. Now I just shoot what I darn well please. I try to pass my knowledge on, by working with a Photo Club here in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Looking forward to participating and maybe learn a new trick or two.

1936 - Now that's what you call a wealth of experience. And although the technology has changed an awful lot, I'm sure you'd agree that it's still down to the eye of the person behind the camera.

i havent found my photo genre yet so im shooting many pictures for now. im using Canon 550D & 50mm 1.8. still searching for good & cheap macro lens.

My name is Jaime. I’ve acquired a Canon 50D 2 years ago and I’ve been trying to learn photography since then. I’ve read a few books e watch a lot of tutorials but it seems never enough. Of course I’ve been taken a lot a picture too but it seems to me that they are not quite good as which they be, so I’ve decided to join this great community, to learn more looking at the wonderful pictures posted here and hopefully get your opinion about what I’m doing. I’m not used to join forums but I’ll try to be active. I love landscape photography most of all, but i enjoy all kind of styles. I’m doing architectural photography also. You've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site. You can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts.

I'm James from the Philippines and been hooked to Photography for a year now. Been around CiC forums for a couple of weeks and just browsing and voting in the Mini Competitions lately. But since I started photography, I was introduced by a friend to read some tutorials & techniques here at CiC. Which I find very helpful & of great help for us beginners in Photography. I'm glad there's a site like this.

Hello to all Cambridge in Colour members. I am a retired person living in Australia. I make two yearly visits to Scotland to visit my daughter who now lives in Blackburne. I also run a Camera club here with approx 28 members at present and climbing. I have been taking photos since my boyhood days and have advanced from the box brownie to a Nikon D60 and Nikon D3100.

Hi everyone, I'm an art student and I've been into photography for about 2 or so years when I decided that all I want to do for the rest of my life is take pictures and share them with others. I own a Canon Rebel XT, but hope to eventually own a Mark III or IV (still haven't decided and there will probably be newer and bigger and better stuff when it comes time for me to upgrade). I can't wait to learn more about all different styles of photography and can't wait to show you all what I have done

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I live in the Austin, Texas area. My husband bought me a Canon 500D last year just before I took a trip to London, and I have decided that I LOVE photography. I have three teenage boys (who do not like to have their pictures taken) so I have tried to branch out to friends. I still have not figured out how to maximize the settings on my camera but I know that will come in time. I still very new and have a lot to learn. I look forward to getting to know you guys and hope you get to know me too. I especially like taking pictures of people outside but struggle with lighting. I hope to learn much more from the friends I make here.

No Donald I am a Pom as they say in Australia I should make it as Australian soon been here for 61 years. Yes the name is John with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Presently busy getting ready for our Annual Agricultural Show. Our Club looks after the Photographic section and has done so for the past 8 years. My style of photography is water reflections in the Australian Bushland, Seascapes and Landscapes. But very open to any sort of Photography.
