Hello to everybody!
I am from the far south of the world: Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Glad to be here, with friendly people with the plus that they talk about photography.
I have read about you in Canon EOS Rebel T2i/550D Digital Field Guide book. The author delivers the reader to your tutorial about White Balance and the link let me find your site.
Your web site is very nice and as I walk from one page to other a photography atmosphere is in every word, all this let me fill like to be a part of your project.
Thank you for accept my registration, expect to be useful to you as much as I am sure you will be for me and my photography.
My recent acquisition of a Canon EOS Rebel T2i have turned-on my old photography hobby. It is not my first digital camera but yes my first digital SLR and I am fascinated how this device respond to my progress on learning how to use it.
Please be indulgent with my English, it's not my first language and frequently will destroy it in my phrases.
Gracias, un abrazo para todos.

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hello,
I'm Andrew, and I've lived in Cambridge (England) for about two and a half years - since I started a new job here.
I used to use a Pentax K1000 35mm camera, and although I used digital cameras at work was a late adopter for my personal use. I bought a Canon G9 a few years back, and use it exclusively in manual and RAW mode. The G9 is a cracking camera for what it is, but I know its limitations. Sure I'd love a digital SLR - but the bulk and weight would mean it saw the light of day far less often.
I guess I take mostly outdoor/landscapes for pleasure, but also take a lot of close-up/scientific/technical photos for work.
I'd like to take my photography further - in particular to work on generating more 'creative'/'artistic'/'dramatic' compositions, or seeking out and capturing the essence of stunning lighting conditions (low sun, low-level early morning mists..?).
I've also got a semi-professional interest in Colour Science and have spent some time evaluating digital printing processes so might be able to offer some particular insights in these fields.
I stumbled across Cambridge in Colour yesterday quite by accident, and liked what I found - the mix of discussion together with the frequent photo competitions and critique.

And I'm very glad that you did. Welcome, Andrew.
I do hope that you continue to enjoy what CiC looks to offer, which is very much directed towards supporting each other in developing knowledge and skills. The lovely thing about the forum, so far as I'm concerned, is the absence of one-upmanship and the sense that this is indeed about learning collaboratively.

Now, that's a pretty impressive introductory image.
Hello, Peter. Thanks for deciding to join up to CiC. I like looking at beautiful gardens and I love good food, but am no good with the creative processes connected with either.
I do hope that you will feel able to share your ideas and experience and take part in CiC for a long time to come.
