Don't know that there are many tricks to pass on. It all tends to be down to hard work. But certainly advice and guidance on how to develop knowledge and skills will be offered aplenty here on CiC. So you are very welcome.

Hi All,

My name is Andrew from Cape Town, South Africa and got tired of using a point and shoot camera so bought a Canon 550D with the kit lenses and am loving it. Just completed a 10 session course and read a few books and many hours trawling CIC. Thanks to all who put this site together, especially Donald.
