Hello Pedro and welcome to CiC.
CiC is a place dedicated to learning and to helping people develop their knowledge and skills. So, I hope you find both this forum and the tutorials useful. Please ask any photography related questions that you have. Just start up a new thread. There will always be people on here ready to help with advice and guidance.

I know thinks dont just happen, they take time and you obviously put in a lot of time. Thanks.
Thank you Andrew. I'm just a small part of all this. The spark behind it all is Sean (McQ) whose vision for a learning community online has made this forum what it is, along with the attitudes and values embraced by all the members. It's always pleasing to read that people find CiC a useful, constructive and pleasant place to inhabit.

Hello my name is Hugo Sands from Nassau Bahamas.
I have a D3000 Nikon from my DW as birthday gift so I started to learn to be more proficient in taking pix, as many of the members are here. So hopefully I will learn the lesson from you all.

I'm pretty sure that you are the only currently active member from the Bahamas. So you are very welcome.
I hope CiC can help you become more proficient. if you have any questions you wish answers to, then please do just post a message and ask.
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi! So I have been receiving the tidbit emails from this site for awhile, decided to join and soak up all the creativity and knowledge that I can! I no longer have kids at home, I get to be grandma and love it, I am 47 years old, I work in the mental health field, and I find myself needing my own mental health therapy, that is what photography does for me. I'm lucky enough to live in Idaho and have a constantly changing canvass to utilize in my photography..... So, here I am, ready and willing! Should be fun!

I'm delighted you've taken the plunge and signed up to CiC.
Some nice stuff on your Flickr pages. I like RR Tracks, although wonder if your decision to have the water line at the mountains so far off the horizontal, helps the image? But the idea and the way the rail tracks are shown, is very nice.
I hope you'll be around on CiC for a long time (you can get the grandkids signed up when they're old enough) and that you enjoy learning on here.

Hello Barbara. Congratulations on the new camera. What is it?
The one thing to remember about CiC is that there is no such thing as a dumb question. Lots of people are nervous about asking a question for fear is might be too simplistic because they feel everyone else will think they're stupid for not already knowing the answer.
That won't happen on here and anyway, the only way to find out is to ask.
So, I hope that you very quickly feel that you are in the right place and that you enjoy taking part in the forum.
Re: NEW MEMBER? Hi to all from Montreal

Hello Everyone,
I have always been involved in both art and music all my life. I still perform on oboe, English horn and bassoon regularly but find I am really enjoying expanding my photography interests and keep trying to learn new skills. I am presently an exclusive photographer and audio artist at: www.istockphoto.com/2windspa I also do portraits of people, animals and homes and my web site is: www.perfectphotoart.com I have also done some restoration as well. The site seems to have some great articles and I am looking forward to checking in from Pennsylvania frequently.

Hi I'm Liz from Sydney. I have a canon 50d and would like to become much more competent with using my own settings for my photos. This site has some great resources and I'm looking forward to digging deeper into them. Thanks to those who have put in all the hard work to create this facility.

That's wonderful to hear. You are now in the company of many people who feel exactly the same. And it the sense of fellowship that makes CiC the very strong resource that it is. People on here are very willing to share knowledge and experience. All you have to do is ask the questions.
I notice that you have posted an image just after your introductory thread. Thank you for doing so. I hope you post mnay more in the sections of the forum in which you can request comments and/or in the competition threads.
So, welcome to CiC.
