Hello all out there in photo-land, my name is Rick Small from South Carolina...... I have been in and out of photography since the early 80s - but definitely more into it since my first DSLR!!! I have really gotten involved in wildlife photography within the last 2-3 years and, being self-taught, it has been a slow process!!!!! I came onto this site through a friend and hopefully I can learn Photoshop post-processing past the brightness/contrast tweaking that is my main, and only, skill to make my images compare to at least some that I've seen in the posts that I've looked at so far...... Can't wait to get started!!!!!!

Great to have you here Rick and I hope being part of the forum does help you develop the knowledge and skills that allow you to take your photography onto new levels. One of the good things about this forum is that you can ask any and all sorts of questions and, although sometimes it can take a while for someone see the question, you will get constructive and respectful replies.

As well as the technical bits about post-processing, there are a number of very, very good wildlife shooters on here who will, I'm sure, be only too happy to discuss the challenges of that particular genre.

So, I hope you enjoy it.

Howdy from Texas. I have lived in El Paso, TX for the last 100 years or so. Prior to that I lived in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I consider myself a beginner photography enthusiast. I am a Pentaxian and currently am using a K20D, K-7 and hopefully, this week a new K-5. Way too many lenses from the past and not enough of the new (and expensive) lenses. I like the "old glass" and don't mind manual focus and setting the aperture manually. I am trying to get over the LBA (lens buying addiction) and think I may have succeeded, at least for the time being I look forward to the forum and using the tutorials which I have already found very informative and useful.

Hello to all, My name is Randy H. I'm living in central calif. It is my goal and desire to learn all that I can about my current camera. A Panasonic Lumix ZS9. I have some nerve damage to my hands and arms. I just recently had to let go of a G12 Canon for those reasons. While I did enjoy this camera it was a bit too much for me.

So I'm backing up to move forward. It is with all my heart and desire to be a great photographer some day.
In the mean time, It would be of great help, being directed to learning links and tutorials, and videos to help with grasping all of the needed concepts to apply them on each and every photo that I can take. Thanks, Randy H.

Hi everyone, I am Robyn from beautiful Sydney Australia. I LOVE photography, I love the way a photograph can make you gasp and take your breath away. I love to photograph just about anything, but I love reflections of any kind and glass. I also like unusual doors and signs. I shoot with a Nikon D90 and have way to many lenses for my own good. I recently brought a 50-500mm Sigma lens on eBay that was advertised for a Nikon & it was actually for a Pentax, so I am in the process of reselling it! I like the look and feel of this site. I live about an hour North of Tampa Florida USA near the Gulf Coast.
