You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.
My name is Anna. I'm originally from Germany, but have been living in Jamaica for 14 years and part-time living in Flrorida for the last 3 years. I've always been a dedicated hobby photographer on my many travels, but only after winning the 2011 annual Las Olas Photo Contest - which earned me a one month solo exhibition in a Fort Lauderdale gallery - have I started to take a more formal approach to photography. In the past most of my photos were lucky trial and error "out of the belly" shots. Now I know, there's still a lot to learn - which is exciting. I recently upgraded my old hybrid Fuji camera to a Sony Alpha a33 dSLR - which is an exciting learning object, too.
Hello I am Brian. Lucky enough to have a nice lady for a lot of years who bought me a canon 550d 18-55 plus a 70-300 USM IS for crimbo. Think this site is very informative well done those responsible.

Majoring in journalism right now and I hope to achieve my dream job as a traveling photographer for National Geographic! To all you folks who have joined CiC and said hello in this thread - welcome. Great to have you here. I've been away over the weekend and not been able to check on who's been signing up.
I hope each of you enjoys being part of this forum and get out of it whatever you hope for.
CiC is certainly a place for learning. And that means those of you with knowledge and experience hopefully sharing it for the benefit of others, as well as, hopefully, you also learning from what you read and see on her.
I notice that Brian and Julian have put their names and locations into their profile so that they appear alongside their posts. Anna and Jerry - You can do the same by going back into Edit Profile from the 'Forum Actions' tab on the menu bar above.
