Hi all, I'm John from Ireland. Shooting 5 years only. Love Landscape and about to get my head around Circular polariser on the Lee system. Camera is basic enough D80. CiC looks impressive - great tutorials.

Your National Rugby side is to be commended! Six Nations, Grand Slam, and Triple Crown! What a fantastic achievement!
Hi Donald, thanks for the warm welcome and the encouraging words! Already updated my profile to include my location.
My name is Mark Hammond and i live in a little burg in the middle of MO called Sedalia. I only started getting serious about photography about 2 years ago. I do a lot of HDR which in the beginning I was really bad at. I am always on the look out for places that can help me improve my photos. From all my searching I think this one seems to be what I'm looking for
Thank you Donald. I know I'm going to enjoy it here.
Hi,
I really like the sites tutorials and think you have done a great job welcoming folks.
As an amateur (now for 2 years), I have really enjoyed a focus on fine art with my friends in the Frederick Camera Clique http://frederickcameraclique.org/ Lately, work is picking up and I hope with my website http://www.joelleherman.com/ I can attact agents to support networking and linking me with interesting projects. Been laid of in clinical research- drug development for over a year, and photography has given me a wonderful avenue to be busy, create and find what inspires me. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jneo/ Flikr is always a great barometer too. Cheers! Joelle
Hello everyone:

Hello Chris.
You put the North East as your location. But the north-east of where? There are folks from all over the world on here, so there are a lot of north-easts. You maybe want to expand that a little.
Anyway, wherever it is, you are very, very welcome. I hope you do enjoy being part of the forum. There have, from time-to-time been people posting udnerwater images and they are spectacular. I hope we see some of yours on the forum.
Hi to my fellow photographers on this interesting site. My name is Rob and I live in the hills just east of Melbourne Australia. I plunged into photography a few years ago. For many years I was probably way too busy with family and home building to have made a start in photography and money was always tight. But now with the digital age it is a lot easier to get involved. I began with macro but now do more with panorama and the odd portrait. You just never know where you will end up.
Hello everyone.
Cambridge in Color looks like a great site to learn more about photography, so I decided to get involved a little. I have been taking picture much of my life, but only really started studying the art of photography a few years ago when I retired and had more time to pursue my interests. I have made some advancements, but hope to learn more here.
Victor
Thanks Donald for your kind welcome
Hello Rob. Thanks for deciding to join CiC. Like a lot of us technology has made it possible for you to get into photography more seriously than was perhaps the case in the past.
I hope you enjoy the atmosphere in this online community and that it suits your needs and style.
I certainly hope so, Victor and that you enjoy being involved.
Your pathway in photography mirrors that of many of us on here, so you're in good company. The good thing about the forum is that, I think, it compliments the tutorials very well in that it is very much a learning resource where people are encouraged to engage in discussion, to ask questions and, of course, to post images for comment.
