Hi Friends. I am Jairaj from India. I love photography and do photography for my living. I use Nikon D2X and Hasselblad ELD555 with Leaf 28MP digital back . I am doing photography for the last 28 years. I happy to be here and meet other photography loving people around the world.

Jairaj - Hello and welcome to CiC. It's wonderful to have a professional join us. This forum is mainly made up of amatuer photographers though some derive some income from photography.

I hope you enjoy being part of CiC.

Because this is a learning resource and we do share knowledge and experience in order to help others learn, I hope your professional background will result in you offering advice and guidance to others so that they can develop their skills.

Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Hello! My name is Carlos and I joined this site yesterday. I live in Mexico City and I will be glad sharing images from my city (if you don´t mind, of course). Although I am an architect, I do enjoy taking pictures of my sons. Finally, I will be grateful of learning more from this forum.

Hi I'm Paul in East London.

I've been looking at this site for quite a few weeks and learnt a lot already. Recently bought a DSLR as a step up to all the P&S cameras I've had over the years & it looks this site will teach me a lot about it.

However, I have also recently joined a local photograhpic club & will soon be doing a course teaching me a lot of the stuff I've already read on here.

Hello Mathu. I think you might be the only currently active member on the forum from Kenya. You are very welcome.

I hope that CiC can help you learn and develop your knowledge and skills. Are you photographing all sports or are you concentrating of a particular sport or sports? I hope we'll see some of your pictures posted up onto the forum.

Hello everyone. I come from the lovely island of Malta. I am 40 years old and I have been in photography for the last 3 years. I started with a p&s and quickly became hooked to photography and I bought my first dslr after a year or so. I now own a Canon Rebel with some lenses and I also have some speedlites and other acc. I love portraits and people. I hope to make some friends here and I am sure I have so much to learn from here.

Paul - I hope that what you learn on here and the course you're undertaking complement each other and that your learning benefits as a result. I'm glad that you like what you've seen so far.

One of the good things about this forum is that people don't get hing up about needing to have the latest, biggest and best of everything. What really matters is the person and their commitment to learning and developing. A good photographer will make a good picture with any gear. Sure, the expensive stuff helps and opens up more options, but you don't need it all to make good images.

Buenas dias, I'm retired and live on the Costa Blanca, Spain. I'm a little bit more than a beginner (I think) but defying gravity on a learning curve! An example of my efforts.

Thanks for the invitation to introduce myself. My name is Dan and I live in Raleigh NC. I have never fully committed myself to learning photography but I have always been fascinated by it and by my ability to, somehow, wind up with a few awesome pictures that are easily distinguishable from the others as being tremendously superior only after printing or comparing in a digital gallery.

Hi Donald, my proper name is a bit of a mouthful. Nuttee Ratanapiseth. Haha one of those "other things"? We should not start off on bad terms, haha. :-) I have a Nikon D700 and D90.
