Hi everybody my name is Marcelo and I live in Brazil. I started reading about photography in September last year and really enjoyed it. I discovered this wonderful site and since then I've been learning a lot about the art of photography. A big hug for all ...
Hi everyone. My name is George and I have a small holding near Tenbury Wells (Worcestershire - England) where I live with my wife, horse and two cats (in that order!). I retired from the sea four years ago and have recently taken up photography seriously. I am constantly trying to improve my skills, and so have joined CiC which I am sure will help me take better photographs. Reading through some of the threads I am constantly reminded that with a digital camera, the trick is to take lots of photo's, and study each one to see how you could have improved on it. Well. I'm afraid the weather here in the UK this summer means that I have not had the inclination to go out and experiment. So like many others, I am waiting for the warmer, drier weather to arrive before I go out with just my camera.
I am also seriously thinking about joining a course to learn how to take better photo's with a DSLR. Hope to be able to impress you all with my photo's sometime in the future.
Hello all!
My name is Kristian, but everybody call me Tittan (note the double t in the middle). I am 37 years old, and still young at heart. My passion for photography lead me to classes at Fotofagskolen (http://www.fotofagskolen.no/nb-NO - in Norwegian, sorry), and a job for a Norwegian chain of photography studios. Unfortunately the chain went bancrupt only 7 months after I started there, so now I work in my own studio here in Trondheim, Norway.
As you might have figured out, I'm mostly doing studio photography. Kids and weddings pay my rent, while artistic nude and fantasy-slash-zombie-slash-weird-and-scary photography makes me happy. I started out doing landscapes though, and still enjoy a quiet sunrise with my camera on a tripod. To bad life tends to get in the way.
I'm an anarchistic punk-rocker by heart, having played the drums in such bands since the late 80's. I have almost 20 years of martial arts under my belt, and my latest hobby is being head ref of the local roller derby league.
The last thing I should add is that I'm notoriously bad at updating my website, so it never show my latest work. I know, shame on me...
Anyway, glad to meet you, and I hope we'll get along like old friends in no time
hi my name is mike and i live in gloucester uk been into taking photos for years but could do with a few tips

I think you have (a bit more) rain coming your way tonight/tomorrow
I hope it doesn't dampen your enthusiasm.

Hi Ray,
We have a lotta Florida members here, so hopefully someone will know.
That said, Florida is quite big
Wildlife and birds are a bit of a habit with me too, although I'm not quite as 'addicted' as you seem to be ("every other day")
Hope to see some shots soon, all the best,

My name is Tara and I have recently discovered the magic of taking my D-SLR off "auto". So liberating! I live in Asia (Hong Kong) - a colourful, dynamic, exciting, always changing, part of the world. My real love, in photography, is Street Life - so Hong Kong and the rest of Asia provide me with tons of opportunities to capture every day living. I also have a passion for Colour!
Hello new friends - I'm from New Smyrna Beach, Florida and have had a passion for photography since I was 12. I recently joined a local camera club and have been enjoying that as well. Currently have a Nikon D60 but am finding I'm not that happy with it - not sure if it's me or the camera I know - probably me! Looking forward to participating with posts and viewing the work of fellow photo enthusiasts. It is addicting....isn't it?! Pursuit of the perfect pic!
Hi MacKenzie,
Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I'm on the west side of the island (In City Colombo), I'm Inviting you to visit Sri Lanka again because now the war is over and the cities are very clean and developed. You can observe lovely places in the island without a restriction.
And also I need a help from you regarding photography, I'm having an idea of moving to professional photography as a free time job and a hobby, on Nature and functions mainly and all other verity of stream. so the camera using now is not enough for this. I need to get some advice from you on what camera should I go for.
Best Regards and Thank you,
Darshana
Greetings everyone from Andy in very wet Manchester. Taken pictures for too many years to count starting with a Kodak 110 and progressing through a Zenit, and Canon AE1 to the EOS600D/T3i. It used to be aircraft and technical photos at work, but now anything within reason. Great site for ideas and inspiration.
Hi!
I'm Ruben, from Sweden. I've been photographing only for a few years, mostly outdoors; landscapes, animals and some outdoor activities. It seems I'm doing more and more night time photography. I guess I like seeing what nature has to show me, but my eyes cannot pick up.
Not sure if this is the New Member thread
Hi, my name is Roy and I live in Fife, Scotland. Photography has been one of my main interests for many years but I am not good at presenting my pictures for competition or criticism. Hopefully I can change that with CiC. I have read few of the tutorials and am most impressed at the clarity and presentation of the content. Cheers
Hi my name is William, am from Uganda, and am a new member to CiC and hope to gain loads of experience from you guys who have been in photography for a long time. My particular interest is in Post photo processing! I'd give a fortune to learn how to do good editing.
Thanks to all the administrators of the website!
Hello. My name is Cyndy. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Where I live, I can see water, eagles, mountains, trees and the sunsets are glorious. It's hard not to photograph such beauty, however, I consider myself a wanna-be photographer. My primary mission is learn Photoshop so that I can manipulate images to the best of my ability. I have two cameras that are basically point and shoot, an IPad and my Iphone at the moment. Maybe, one day when I feel I deserve it, I'll purchase a "real" camera. Until then, I'll be in the learning curve called "Photoshop". Thank you in advance for your expert advise!
