Have you read the instructions? And if so, which part did you have trouble with?

At the end of the day, all that's needed is to surround the public location where the image resides with image tags ([ I M G ] before the URL and [ / I M G ] after it. (without the spaces which I needed to put it to stop the system trying to treat my post as an image).

Hi everyone. My name is Justin. I've been passionate about photography for a few years now. I'm certainly a newbie and I finally was able to buy my first decent camera about a month ago. I'm using a Nikon D3100 with an 18 to 55mm lens for now. I live on the beach in central Florida on the east coast. I'm still trying to find out what I like to shoot. I've played with some landscape and some local shows and clubs. I'm so grateful that I found this site. I'm learning a lot already. I'm look forward to growing with you guys.

HI all this is Mithun!!!!I bought a new DSLR nikon D3100....I was fallen in craze of camera after using p100 nikon compact digi cam.later i used p510,Right now i bought DSLR, but with 510 ,we can zoom upto 42x ,,, please advise for a lens which can give same effect in DSLR, as i got 18-55mm lens kit with my dslr.Whether i should go for a telescopic lens to go as equivalent to 42x zoom lens in P510.How can i differentiate the lens with DSLR telescopic lens

Hi all, my name is Shirley, i am from Western Australia, I love photography but i am new to the DSLR world, i have a Canon 550d and love taking photo's of anything that catches my eye, lately I have been trying to do some night photos, i will post them so i can get some help were i am going wrong. I've been playing with cameras since I was 10, including a period with 4x5 and a lot of darkroom work. Fully into digital as I am moving into full time image work. I really enjoy the insights available here.
Currently working with various Sony cameras and Lightroom instead of standing behind trays of chemicals.

Hi I live in Recife Brazil and into HDR and portraiture as well as street photography. I use a Canon D7 and a Leicaflex from 1964.

Hi Mithun,

I have bad news, there is no lens for a DSLR which will give you that range (42x).

There are lenses that are the equivalent of the 1000mm you get with a P510 fully zoomed in, but I rather doubt you can afford it, although I may be wrong. Plus it would be very large and heavy.

In fact, I have had a Nikon D5000 for 3 years and have a lens that reaches an equivalent of 450mm, to get beyond that, I have just gone out and bought a P510 :)

I am still discovering whether it was the right thing to do, but it was a lot cheaper and lighter than the alternative, although obviously the lens, sensor the lack of RAW capture mean the quality isn't as good as a DSLR.

I am a chemist with record in PHOTOCHEMISTRY , so here is the link!
I have been using this wonderful site for learning advanced techniques and novel ideas. It is written for people like me - photo enthusiasts, who wish to learn and improve.
I own many 50 yrs old photographs-(mine), and remember the days when every photo was part guesswork and part luck, and still it did work. A large metal box with old negatives is waiting patiently for scanning.....
Of course I did my own developement in black & white, but stopped when color dominated the field....
I print my photos on old CANON 6300, which worked until last saturday, and then suddenly refused to advance the paper... I appreciate your advice on replacement.
I have my own two "mini-exhibitions": one in the building where I work, the second where I live.
I would like to reap the knowledge and expertise of your community, and maybe even find virtual friends.
