Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi Everyone
I'm Steven. I live in Chigwell, Essex, UK. I own a Canon 5D and taken nearly 10,000 photos with it since I bought it in 2007. I love the hobby and continue to try to improve my photography, especially using CS5 with Raw's, although of course I always aim for a perfect photo that needs no adjustments :)
How do you attach a signature to your posts? Can't see this in the Profile Settings page.
Best Regards...Steven, Chigwell, UK
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Steven
First thing - I don't think you're allowed to add a signature until you've made 5 (or maybe it's 10) posts.
The other procedural thing is that you might want to add your proper name into 'Real Name' in Edit Profile so that it shows up in the bar alongside your location.
Anyway, a warm welcome. I hope you enjoy being part of CiC and that it helps you on your pathway of continuous learning.
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Many thanks Donald. I now have an aim of 10 posts or more :)

Hi I'm Cheryl and I live in the Boston area. I'm teaching myself photography and have learned a lot from this site. I'm hoping to get some feedback on my work here, and get some questions answered. It's hard finding photographers willing to help out and this forum seems like a great place!

Hello Cheryl. Great to have you here.
I hopt that beiong part of the forum delivers all that you want. I'm pretty confident that you will find lots of people more than willing to help and advise.
Since most of us use our real names on here, you might want to add your proper name into 'Real Name' in Edit Profile so that it shows up in the bar alongside your location.

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Thanks John! I'm already completely confused on how to use this forum, so once I figure this out I'll try and ask some photography related questions. Is there a tutorial on this site for using the forums? ;)

More into the fetish side of photography have a few models male and female who I take pics of, do not have use of a studio so its all done at my home or where the model feels comfortable.

Hey guys! I'm from Los Angeles, and I stumbled on the site looking for quick tips on an 1100D. I read through a couple of the tutorials and found them to be extremely helpful, so I signed up!
Other than shooting pics of my 3yo daughter and 5yo bullmastiff on my smartphone, I'm a complete rookie in photography. I just got the Rebel T3 in the mail yesterday, and am really eager to start using it especially during Thanksgiving break. I'd like to learn how to shoot candid photos and landscape.

Hello
My name is Mike I am a retired Navy Veteran, I live in Spokane, Washington. I want to use photography to help Non-profit organizations promote themselves thru video and photography. I can always use help and advice. I have various videos posted if you would like to see them I will send you a link/invitation to Vimeo. I would also like to learn how to do what I call the fantsy photos, such as the wolf spirit and the large planets looming in the background. My email is mbowcutt@gmx.com

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
I checked the FAQ section and I still cannot figure out how to start a new thread so I can ask a question. I can see the reply to thread button but I don't want to ask my own question in someone else's thread. please help. Thanks!
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi Cheryl. It's because you are in the middle of a thread:) Click on Forum near the top of the page, then select the forum you want like General Photography Discussion. Click on that and you'll find the Post New Thread button near the top of the page. Good luck!
