Welcome, Kapil. I hope you enjoy being involved in the CiC Forum.
I have never been to Shimla, but from all that I have read and seen, you do live in a beautiful place. I hope we will see many images from there being posted by you. By the way - If you wish you can go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.

HI all, My name is Graham from sunny Scotland , been looking in on this site for a wee while and decided to join you all Thanks .. Graham
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi there Graham, and welcome. There are quite few Caledonians around here, so you needn't feel lonely :). Can you tell us a bit more about yourself, and what kind of photography interests you. You could also update your profile to show your "real" name and location so it appears next to all you posts.
Welcome again,
Dave
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
I've been around the forum for a couple of weeks, time to introduce myself. - Now, where to begin?
I switched from film SLR to digital bridge camera around 2005 and made the jump to DSLR (Canon 60D) in 2011.
My interests in photography are fairly wide: I love the big cities (architecture, street) & the lonely walks in the National Parks (landscape). I also love travelling and following my favourite jazz composer/band - both primarily in the UK - taking photos as I go, of course.
Here's an album of pictures I shot last month at a Carnival Parade.
Feedback and comments very welcome.
Cheers,
Frank
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Welcome, Frank, to CiC.
I can see that you have already posted a few times. That is a very interesting album that you have linked to. If you'd like feedback, best to post the link or the images in one of the forums (I guess People and Pets) and give the real experts an opportunity to comment.
I a looking forward to seeing more of your pictures. I hope that you will also share your expertise and knowledge with the rest of the members.
Dave

Hi everyone!
My name is Reese, I'm from China. I've been taking pictures for about 3 years(still a newbie:D), and I got a Canon 5d mark II with 17-40 and 24-105 lens on my hand. I found this great site via a post in a Chinese photography blog, who had told that this gorgeous site has fantastic resources and tutorials for me to learn. Look forward to see more fantastic photo here:)
Best regards

I certainly hope that CiC can be part of helping you to do that. If you have any questions, then please do just ask. There are lots of people on here who will be very willing to share knowledge and experience.

Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hello :-) I'm Rolf - new to this forum and hope that I am doing the intro bit and not "replying" to Fred! I live and work in Canada and have been into photography since a boy(a long time ago!) I have only Canon equipment - 1DsMklll, a 1DMklV, a 5D and I stick with "L" series lenses for durability and quality. Great gear... downside is carrying it!
I like landscapes/seascapes, wildlife and would like to get into portraiture as I have just bought studio lights and backdrops etc and get a better understanding of how to use flash without frantic experimenting each time to get the right exposure and colour!
I look forward to reading these threads and learning!

You've got it just right, Rolf. Great to have you here and thank you for deciding to join. I hope you enjoy it.
You've maybe seen that CiC is very much a learning forum, where sharing knowledge and experience is very much encouraged. I hope you'll make your experience available to others so that they might learn from you.
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hi names Les live in Plymouth Devon UK
very much into my cameras have a few but my canon DSLR is my favorite most of my pics are of my local area or fetish pictures hope thats ok with everyone
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Hello Les and welcome to CiC.
A couple of things:
- Because there are many people on here whose first language is not English, the Code of Conduct (here) asks people to, "use standard English sentences. Try to avoid excessive use of txt/sms language, smilies, all capital letters ("SHOUTING") or ???? and !!!!! characters. Bear in mind we have many members for whom English is not their first language, so please also check your spelling and avoid excessive use of local vernacular. You can edit your contributions at any time by clicking on the "Edit Post" button at the bottom of your post (with additional options being available if you then click the "advanced" button).
- If you intend to post images onto the forum, please remember that there are many young people on here. I don't know what the content may be, but I'd have reservations about any 'fetish' pictures coming onto the forum.
Re: NEW MEMBER? please introduce yourself here
Greetings. Found this site through a resource list provided via the instructor of a course I am taking. Been lurking for a little while and am impressed with the level of information (and lack of b^^$%) on this site. I am looking forward to the discussions,

Norm - Delighted that you've taken the leap and signed up. Hopefully we'll continue to be unattractive to the b............. that you refer to and they'll stay away. And that CiC continues as a place where people who want to learn and who want to support others in learning, can do that in a constructive manner.
