[Photo Bomber]

Hello my name is Oliver and I am grateful to all of you on this forum for sharing your knowledge of photography. I currently use a Canon T2i with a Tamron 18-270 f3.5-5.6 all around zoom lens, and a Canon 580EX II flash. I'm looking forward to the day when I can afford a full frame Canon or Nikon with a fast zoom lens. But for now, I'm happy with what I have. I am not a Canon brand loyalist, as I also have an old Nikon D40, which I also use, just not as much anymore. I plan to give the Nikon to one of my grand daughters when they are old enough and/or show an interest in photography. But when I do upgrade to a full frame camera I will probably go with a Canon simply because I already have the 580 flash. I like to take all types of pictures but am especially into macro photography, and astrophotography. I look forward to learning from you all on this forum and the CIC website. In order to get some thoughts about your question, click on 'Discussion Categories' in the menu bar above and then choose 'Camera Purchase'. There you will find a lot of discussion about camera bodies. If you then wish to ask further questions to help you choose, post a new thread into the Digital Cameras & Equipment section of the forum.

By the way - If you wish you can go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.

First thing - So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is, because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile and enter the name by which you wish to be addressed under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

Great to have you here. You have some very good images on your Flickr pages. Are those your children that are featured? Some wonderful portraits.
